A Fresh Start

A Fresh Start

Spring is in the air, and it is time to start to de-clutter and clean your home ready for a fresh start. Are you aware that your aura or the electromagnetic field which surrounds your body is affected by your environment.

This maybe hard to wrap your head around at first, yet, it has been scientifically proven that everything here on earth and within the universe is made up of vibrating particles of energy and that includes you. Even though you may not see it and items around you appear solid, everything consists of energy or light and has a vibrational frequency.

Let’s take the chair that you are sitting on for example, it appears solid, yet is actually made up of particles that are vibrating against each other, which causes resistance, therefore, making it impossible to pass through each other and the chair now becomes/appears solid. The chair can absorb energies from its surroundings and the energies of the different people who sit on it.

Another example would be the walls that make up the rooms in your home, they can soak up the energies of activities that occur within it. Have you ever noticed that there are some places that you go to that feel welcoming, comfortable and you feel uplifted, while another place will have you feeling depressed and eager to leave.

Let’s go back to the example of the chair. Imagine that you have gone to meet a friend at a local coffee shop, and you arrive feeling good and looking forward to spending time with them. As the time passes, you may start to experience a variety of different symptoms or feelings as you sit in the coffee shop chair.

This is because there have been so many different people who have sat on it before you and each will person leave an energy imprint within the chair and the list could be endless, from a lower backache, headache, feeling confused, sad, or depressed.

Your own energy field is constantly absorbing the energy in your surroundings, as its role is to collect information and inform you if you are in a safe and healthy environment or whether you should leave. So, if you do not have a conscious awareness of what is going on in the environment it can be easy for you to unconsciously hold on to the energy of another and think that it is your own!

When you look around your own home does it bring an inner smile and a feeling of being comfortable and safe, a place where you love to come back to?

Every single item in your home carries its own vibration, whether it is something that you have personally worked for and bought or been given as a gift.

Does each item have a place where you can find it easily or on display in a place where you can easily see it?

When your home becomes over cluttered, or you are no longer enjoying the items then it is time to move them on. You can do this by giving them to a charity or selling them and replacing them with something that makes you feel uplifted or has a better purpose in your life.

Every item in your home is vibrating back a frequency to you and, depending on how you are thinking or feeling, will absorb that energy. Have you ever noticed that there are certain areas in your home that you feel more comfortable in and other areas that make you feel uncomfortable. I can remember a time when I rented a beautiful bungalow which was light and airy, and you could see the surrounding garden from all windows which then stretched out to the countryside.

Every time I went to the bathroom I would feel sad and lost. I love a good soak and time spent relaxing, yet every time I used the bathroom. the pleasure that I was looking forward to having was not there. I realised after a few weeks, once the unpacking had all been done and I was now able to focus on myself more, that those feelings were not mine.

Then. after talking to some of the local people, I learned that the lady who had lived there before had lost her husband many years before and she put on a brave appearance to those around her, trying to cover up her sadness and feeling lost as her husband was no longer with her.

I realised that it was in the bathroom where she released her sadness and that the room was still full of her energies, even though she no longer lived there. This was a reminder to me that during the hectic time of moving in and unpacking, I had not been fully focused on being aware of the energies around me.

If I had allowed myself to not pay attention to my surroundings for a longer period of time, then it would have been more than likely that I could have owned those sad feelings and then contributed to adding to the already lower vibrations/energies already held in the bathroom. Now, I could focus on not accepting the lower vibrations and keep my energy high, so that the overall energies in the bathroom could now change and it could become a happier place to be in.

As you accept that everything is vibrational energy, and that you are always energetically vibrating on a level of how on you feel emotionally, mentally, and physically. That you can chose to alter your own vibration by changing the way you choose to think, feel and the actions you take.

The next part of this is to grasp that this includes you.  You are energetically vibrating at a changing rate depending on your emotional, mental, and physical states. You can actually alter your own vibration by changing the way you think, feel, or act.

I hope this helps you to understand that the energy field of yourself and others within your home, soaks into the walls, your sofa, your bed etc. and if you are feeling sad, angry, anxious or lonely etc. then those energies will accumulate within your home and over time you will not enjoy coming home and may even wonder when, in certain areas of your home, that you do not feel comfortable or joyous!

If you have items in your home that, when you look at them or use them, they make you feel sad, perhaps it reminds you of past pain, then I recommend that you make a choice to let them go. If it is a sentimental object or a gift, then you could take a photograph of it to add to your photo album. Sometimes, we can hold onto things that have been given as a gift in case that person was to call round and notice that it is not there and make you feel guilty etc. By taking a photo you can let them know that it no longer fit in with your décor, and you have a photo of it and can remember the gift at any time.

Another situation that you can change, is to stop inviting negative people into your home and, should you need to meet with them, do so outside in nature or at an arranged place like a restaurant.

Remember, that every day of your life your experiences of where you go and who you see are reflected in your own personal energy field and this includes your mental and physical health. As you begin to pay attention to the unseen energies around you, you will begin to notice how many of them are not yours! This awareness, within itself, helps you to not take them on as your own and take the experience as information only.

As an intuitive holistic healer, I have worked with so many people who are carrying other people’s negative energy and not even realising it, and then they wonder why they feel so tired, stressed or even physically ill.

After receiving healing to help cleanse their aura and re-balance their chakras of negative impressions, they often tell me how much lighter they feel and that they have more energy and are able to be more focused in their everyday activities, attracting more positive vibrations into their lives.

So, take some time to become aware of your everyday surroundings and the energy in your home. If everywhere is cluttered and untidy then realise that this environment can actually stimulate the production of cortisol, which is a stress hormone that can dampen your mood, aid in you procrastinating and not even want or have the energy to tidy and clean up, resulting in a downward spiral into poor mental health and depression.

By taking the time to clear up a messy and disorganised room filled with unwanted or unneeded items the energy becomes more inviting and uplifted, which in turn makes it into a place where you can look forward to returning to and be able to fully relax and unwind. It is good when you can allow natural light into the room and choose colours you enjoy and bring in some potted plants which help to create an even more healing environment where you can think clearly. You may even like to introduce some aromatherapy scents and some relaxing music to invoke all of your senses.

Making changes in your own personal environment brings new fresh energies into your space, and the more you let go of unwanted items that are no longer necessary in your life, then more room is made for new and better opportunities to arrive into your life.

Should you feel overwhelmed at the thought of starting to clear and de-clutter your home, then challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone and just do 30 minutes a day in one area until it is completed and then move onto the next area, slowly you will pick up momentum and you will soon be feeling encouraged to do more as you look at what you have already accomplished. This in itself will be uplifting for you and spur you on to do more. It is time to get started and welcome a new higher vibration into your life and your home one small change at a time while staying open to receiving new opportunities that come your way.
